Why are we offering financing
Financing can eliminate the upfront costs that often prevent homeowners from making energy efficient upgrades. Accessing financing through Retrofit Assist makes the financial side of your retrofit journey more straightforward – we pay your contractor directly for the cost of your upgrade, letting you pay it back in manageable monthly payments over 10 years, reducing your energy costs and helping you reach your energy efficiency goals.
If you are interested in accessing financing, simply complete the appropriate section when you apply to Retrofit Assist.
What projects are eligible?
Almost any project that saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions is eligible for financing. Here are some examples:

Key Financing Terms
- Fixed interest rate
- 10-year terms
- Early, partial or full repayments accepted with no fees within the first year
- Finance up to $65,000 or 15% of your taxable assessed property value
- The financing available through Switch Retrofit Solutions operates with a user-pay-model. To cover the administrative costs of the program there is a one-time calculated fee of 6.25% + GST that will be added to the principal of the loan.
Who is the loan with?
Retrofit Assist is collaborating with Switch Retrofit Solutions to offer financing for your home energy upgrade(s). Your loan will be administered by Switch Retrofit Solutions, who will pay your contractor directly, initiate loan repayment and manage your loan for the term.
